Custer arrived at Outpawed five months ago as the last cat of a small, disbanded colony. Once fearful, he's made great progress, learning to engage with his carer instead of hiding. Fostered with Barton, another adoptable cat, they’ve formed a strong bond, but can be adopted separately.
Custer, not young but not old, seeks a quiet, supportive home to continue growing. He enjoys back rubs, wand toys, and “find the treat” games. While he hasn’t climbed onto a lap, he loves snuggling on the floor. Custer is ideal for someone patient, with treats and a desire for a special bond.

Barton, nearly 3 years old, is a playful and affectionate young cat. He's been fostering with Custer (also available for adoption), and immediately bonded with him, comforting him and sharing his bed. Though it would be wonderful if they were adopted together, they can also be adopted separately.
Barton loves his snake toy, jumping, chasing, curling up with Custer or his fosterer, and purring. He’s also fond of walks in a cat pram and bird-watching. Friendly, chatty, and full of energy, Barton would love to share a cozy couch and bed with his forever family.
